This coming November 16th, New York is sending two native Brooklyn-ites over to The House of Blues for a noisy night of revelry and merrymaking.

Starting the night off is Oberhofer, whose catchy melodic hooks and approachable indie-riffs are sure to be a crowd pleaser. Formed back in 2008 by frontman Brad Oberhofer, the group has been successfully touring off of their debut record Time Capsules II for nearly two years, playing with acts such as Neon Indian, The Morning Benders and Sleigh Bells. This year they’ve been featured at several spots along the festival circuit including Coachella, Lollapalooza and, most recently, Austin City Limits. Expect some great vibes coming from both the band and the crowd throughout their set.

The main attraction of the night is iconic indie troupe Matt & Kim. Hardly needing an introduction, Matt Johnson and Kim Schifino have been at the forefront of the indie-rock scene since their rise to popularity back in 2007. They’ve just released their fourth LP Lightning and the hit single “Let’s Go” has been climbing the charts, receiving a ton of airplay this summer. This indie-dance duo is renowned for their crazy live antics and seemingly limitless energy; don’t expect any downtime during their action-packed set.

So if you’re not up to anything this Friday, make the trek down to Boston’s House of Blues and check out these two light-hearted indie gems for a night of uncut and unadulterated fun.

P.S. If that doesn’t sound like your style you can always check out Death Grips down the road at The Sinclair. But I can’t guarantee you’ll walk away from that set in one piece.
