On Sunday, October 6th, 2015, we hosted our biannual Tastemakers Presents show at afterHOURS. This year’s lineup featured Portland, OR’s Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Palehound from Boston, and Horse Jumper of Love, a student band. Check out a video recap of this incredible event! Our last session from the Fall semester was with NYC/Boston-based band Blue Plutos! This synth pop-rock group played five tracks from their latest release entitled “Dennett St.” Check it out on their Bandcamp or like them on Facebook.

Super-catchy, jangly indie pop band Bent Shapes came to play for us this winter! Their five songs include “86′d in ’03″ which they recently pressed on lathe cut. Boston’s I/O came by the studio earlier this fall and played four great tracks for us, two of which are from their latest LP Saudade, which you can find on their Bandcamp. Northeastern student and hip-hop artist Manni Festo launched a new video earlier this semester that takes viewers behind the scenes in the recording of his new song, “One Rhyme.” Manni wrote the song in August, recorded it in September, and recently explained to Tastemakers how he was inspired to write the song: “I took a walk and just kept thinking of rhyming lines and phrases.
