Tastemakers Magazine’s spring Tastemakers Presents… is Friday, March 11 featuring School of Seven Bells and Freelance Whales! Be sure to check them out at our FREE show in Blackman Auditorium.  Doors at 6:30, show at 7:00.

School of Seven Bells (aka SVIIB), New York City dream pop trio includes Benjamin Curtis (previously of Secret Machines) and Alejandra Deheza. They are currently touring with Interpol. Their sound has been described as “dreamy and ethereal” with seemingly abstract lyrics.  They’ve released two albums, most recently Disconnect from Desire in July 2010.

Freelance Whales is a five-piece, multi-instrument indie rock band from Queens.  Their debut album Weathervanes was released in April 2010, which can be streamed here. They played at last year’s SXSW music festival and are currently touring with Tokyo Police Club.

Tastemakers Magazine is Northeastern’s Students on Music.  Check out our facebook and twitter to keep up on all of the action.
