With just two EPs earning them a cult following, Maps & Atlases finally released their debut full length Perch Patchwork on Barsuk this summer and on Fat Cat Records in the UK this fall.  The level of musicianship, technicality, and energy this band brings to the stage is second to none.

“Perch Patchwork could be this year’s most esoteric album fit for a summer road trip.” – Filter

“Artists like Maps & Atlases are hard to come by nowadays. Pay attention now.” – KCRW

The harmonized brilliance produced by Philadelphia trio, Good Old War is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with. With their second album released on Sargent House earlier this year they have dazzled crowds at SXSW, Bamboozle, and on the road with such acts as Circa Survive, The Gaslight Anthem, Dr. Dog, Xavier Rudd, Brandi Carlile, and Joshua Radin.

“The night was invigorating, it put a smile on my face.  This is the future…That’s the power of the Internet and cell phones and texting and social networking. People are looking for good, they want to rally around quality. They found Good Old War.” – Music Industry Figure Bob Lefsetz

Good Old War will also be hosting a cover contest at Northeastern to win cool prizes like signed vinyl, a meet and greet and more!

“Hailing from Chicago, IL, Gypsyblood recently posted a few tracks up on their Band Camp profile.  Long story short, they’re all really, really good.  Their melodies are warm and wrapped in layers of feedback, but these songs are not submissive.   Mixing influences like The Pixies, Pavement, and Joy Division with discordant, yet infectious guitar hooks and piles of inspired vocal tracks, these songs are the aural equivalent of a good pastry: crispy on the outside, warm & gooey on the inside.” – Kyle Risley, August 26th
