Singing To Strangers: A Playlist

Alyssa’s blog post yesterday got me to thinking- almost everyone has their own personal summertime driving playlist.  I miss driving on 275 in my black bug with the smell of the Little Miami River filling my car.  My sister and I used to blast awesomely embarrassing songs and straight up summer jams with windows down, singing like we meant it to strangers in nearby cars until they either drove away or gave in and smiled with us. (Keep in mind that the more embarrassing the song, the more fun it is to sing to randos).  Those moments when the strangers joined us in a duet will always be some of my favorite memories.

Luckily my sister and I are headed on a cross-country road trip next month, so I have 15 or so states full of strangers to look forward to singing to.  But until then, I’m putting up with the heat on the streets of Boston and dreaming of the 24th, when I hit the open road.  Here’s what I’ve been listening to in anticipation of that day.
