Xavier Rudd to Delight the Wilbur Theater
by Colin Peters, published August 31st 2010
No, you didn’t miss it!
Australian singer-songwriter Xavier Rudd will be performing at the Wilbur Theatre September 14th in support of his recent release Koonyum Sun.
Rudd’s shows are incredible to watch and an experience all music fans can appreciate. Playing didgeridoos, guitar, drums and vocals, he is a fascinating talent with an interesting style that fuses several genres. Typically a one man show, Rudd will elevate his live show backed by players Tio Moloantoa and Andile Nqubezelo, who make up the new group: Xavier Rudd and Izintaba.
Kooyum Sun marks a return to the Australian flavored, up beat, hip-swaying music Rudd gained notoriety for. Blending indigenous sounds with earthy acoustic style and the South African flair of Izintaba, this will certainly be a show you won’t want to miss!
Don’t forget your dancing shoes.
