Welcome and Things to Come…

Hey all,
First off, if this is your first time at Tastemaker’s website, welcome! I hope you enjoy our sleeker, sexier design and Grooveshark application. We have a bunch of new content lined up, including coverage of the Nateva Festival, Bonnaroo and a few other special surprises.
Aside from the new website, we’ve been in the early stages of planning for the fall edition of Tastemakers Presents, which will take place in early October. We can’t say too much just yet, but this will definitely be the best one yet. Stay tuned for more.
Speaking of staying tuned, the best places, aside from our website, to learn more about what we’re up to is Twitter, Facebook, iTunes and Youtube. We have contests, giveaways, and other exciting stuff on those channels, as well as podcasts and videos. Be sure to check it out for plenty of entertainment for these long, summer days.
Finally, I recently had the pleasure of traveling to Northeastern University President Aoun’s house to play Madd-, I mean, describe the Tastemakers organization to the board of trustees. They were impressed with our entrepreneurial spirit, variety of mediums, and general good looks. Maybe you feel the same way?
President Aoun and I are in the midst of debating between the merits of The Blue Album and Pinkerton. We never settled.
The board of trustees were suprisingly receptive to the idea of Tastemakers, we even met Richard Deagazio, Director of VIP Guests for Nateva Festival. One thing led to another and we’re now sending Editor in Chief Katie Price and Marketing Director Andrew Phan up to Maine for a few days of great music and beatiful scenery in the great outdoors. Maybe it was my charm that captivated them, or maybe it was the awesome poster designed by our newly appointed Art Director, Anne Latini.
